UPCOMING &
RECENT RACES
Structure your recovery and tissue loading intervals around actual competition timelines. Book in advance to secure your slots.
HYROX OTTAWA
Canada’s capital city hosted a massive HYROX weekend. Easing joint load, addressing eccentric hamstring strains, and restoring deep fascial flexibility is crucial in the weeks following this event. Schedule a session to reset tissue length.
HYROX TORONTO
Toronto is host to the expanded 4-day national competition. Ensure your training prep keeps load capacity high, and pre-book your Pre-Race Activation window (24–48h before) to prime your nervous system for race day.
THE HYROX PROTOCOL TIMING
Our systematic treatment intervals are calculated around your competition dates to deliver the highest physiological benefit when you need it most.
Pre-Race Activation
A low-loaded session focused on neural priming, joint mobility, and Post-Activation Potentiation (PAP). We maximize local circulation and pre-condition muscular tissues without accumulating fatigue.
Post-Race Recovery
A comprehensive decompression session to address post-race muscle spasms, clear waste accumulations, ease joint capsular compression, and quiet the nervous system before severe DOMS locks in.
In-Season Training Prep
Ongoing clinical support designed to increase load-bearing capacities, handle high-mileage runs, keep your joints aligned through heavy sled blocks, and minimize overuse injuries.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Everything you need to know about billing, clothing, booking timelines, and our partnership benefits.
Are these recovery sessions covered under extended health benefits?
Yes! Because our specialized Hyrox recovery protocols (including FST and Sports Massage) are administered by Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) or licensed Physiotherapists/Chiropractors, they are fully billable. We provide detailed receipts with appropriate provider registration numbers that you can submit to your insurance carrier for reimbursement. Direct billing is also available for many major insurance providers.
What should I wear to my recovery or activation session?
For Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST), Race Activation, and active mobility work, you will remain fully clothed. Please wear comfortable, stretchy athletic clothing (such as shorts, leggings, joggers, and a t-shirt or tank top). Avoid stiff fabrics like denim, heavy zippers, or belts, as these restrict our ability to move your joints through a full, natural range of motion.
When is the optimal time to book a Race Activation session?
The optimal window for a Race Activation session is between 24 and 48 hours before your race start time. This timing allows the central nervous system to prime, maximizing Post-Activation Potentiation (PAP) and neuromuscular pathways, while promoting local muscle blood flow without accumulating any residual training fatigue.
How soon after crossing the finish line should I schedule my Race Recovery session?
We recommend booking your Race Recovery session within 24 to 72 hours of finishing your race. This 3-day post-competition window is crucial for clearing metabolic waste, easing acute muscle spasms, reducing systemic inflammation, and calming down the high-intensity stress responses before severe Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS) fully sets in.
What makes the Altitude Nation partnership special?
As the official recovery partner of Altitude Nation—an affiliated HYROX gym—our clinical protocols are direct complements to their conditioning programs. We collaborate closely with the training staff to manage your load metrics. If you are an active member of Altitude Nation, make sure to state it during registration to access co-hosted workshops, recovery pop-ups, and special clinical events.
How do these sessions differ from a standard massage?
Standard massages focus primarily on superficial muscle layers to promote general relaxation. Our Hyrox protocols utilize deep joint capsular FST, active muscular release, and neural stretching. This targets the specific biomechanical demands of the race (such as hip extension for running, shoulder range for SkiErg, and posterior chain load for sled pushes), making it highly sport-specific.
